Isla Turns One

 Our baby girl is one! I can't believe how quickly this year has gone. We threw her a butterfly party to celebrate. The weather was beautiful and she was the belle of the ball. At one year old she is our little doll. She loves to play with her siblings and definitely runs the show. Everyone is so smitten with her, that all the other kids do whatever she wants, haha. She loves bath time (no one dares to take a bath without her), and she would eat bananas for every meal. She loves to clap and blow kisses. She is not walking quite yet, but it won't be long. She has her own language and loves to babble all day long. She is always babbling about something. She is a very happy and independent baby and she has everyone wrapped around her little finger. Happy birthday sweet Isla Evangeline!

Update on the kids

I thought I would write a little update post on all four kiddos, since I feel like they change so very quickly and it would be nice to update everyone. 

Finley is so much fun right now. She is in her fourth week of Kindergarten and she is really thriving! I was so sad on her first day because all of a sudden I was so very aware that she was growing up! I know it sounds silly, since she is only five, but it was such a huge milestone. I have really only been apart from her for a handful of hours at a time, maybe once a month, but now she is gone for three and a half hours every day. However, she is doing wonderful. She loves school and she is learning so much. She has such a sweet and sunny personality. She is so nurturing to her younger siblings and she loves to help out. 

Landon is growing an inch a day it seems. He is so tall and he eats so much food. We joke that I will have to get a job once he is a teenager just to buy his groceries! He is really maturing with Finley in school as well. He is getting the opportunity to be the "big kid" at home when she is away all morning. He currently LOVES Spiderman and playing in the dirt. He is really doing such a good job at taking care of Miles as well and I love to see their brotherly relationship flourishing.

Miles is growing by leaps and bounds as well. Our chunky little baby boy seems to be all but gone and has been replaced by a busy and curious toddler. He is running and climbing, and often times dancing, everywhere. His vocabulary is growing rapidly, but his favorite two words right now are definitely "NO" and "GO". And maybe "Mama". He loves Isla, whom he calls "Girl Girl", but he often times loves her a little too much and has to be restrained. Haha. 

Our sweet Isla is such a doll and such a wonderful little addition to our family. I can't hardly even remember life without her. She is so happy and by far the most smiley of all of the kids at this age. She loves to roll around, play with toys and chew on her toes. She has the sweetest giggle and is all around adorable. 

Isla's Newborn Pictures

We always have professional pictures taken of the kids within the first week of their lives. Isla's were taken when she was five days old here at our house. The photographer came over and we spent the whole day just trying to keep her asleep and comfy while we snapped her photo. I was very pleased with how they turned out. I love capturing that new baby sweetness.
